Победительницей международного марафона среди женщин стала спортсменка из Новосибирска Вера Трeбникова. Как сообщает «Вести», в забеге на 10 километров лучше других распределить силы удалось петербуржцу Дмитрию Лукину. Чемпионом классического марафона стал Аучар Хасан из Марокко: его результат — 2 часа 13 минут и 36 секунд.
Марафон стартовал и принял финиш на Дворцовой площади, прошел кольцом по центральной части города, мимо всемирно известных исторических памятников Северной столицы России.
