Сотрудники правоохранительных органов Петербурге ищут вандалов, которые накануне изуродовали памятник первому мэру Северной столицы Анатолию Собчаку. Скульптурное изображение неизвестные облили синей краской.
— Это свидетельствует, наверное, о чьем-то обостренном нездоровье, или я не знаю, о чем. Как так можно относиться к памятнику, который давно стал излюбленным местом? Сюда приходят люди, возлагают цветы, — сказал прибывший на место происшествия глава администрации Василеостровского района Владимир Омельницкий.
Нанесенный памятнику ущерб пока не установлен. Предполагается, что специалисты займутся этим вопросом после новогодних каникул.
Милиция рассчитывает, что камеры видеонаблюдения зафиксировали произошедшее, и это поможет найти вандалов. В их поисках должны помочь записи с уличных камер видеонаблюдения.
Памятник Собчаку был открыт в 2006 году на Большом пр. Васильевского острова. На постаменте выбиты надписи: «Первому мэру города», «Анатолию Александровичу Собчаку — 1937-2000, возвратившему имя городу» и строчка стихов Бродского «Ни страны, ни погоста не хочу выбирать, на Васильевский остров я приду умирать».
