"Я хочу вас проинформировать о том конфликте, который, к сожалению, перерастает в газовую войну между "Газпромом" и Белоруссией", — сказал Лукашенко, открывая встречу с министром иностранных дел РФ Сергеем Лавровым во вторник.
Белоруссия с начала 2010 года платит России за газ не по контракту, а по установленной ею в одностороннем порядке цене, в результате чего уже задолжала около 200 миллионов долларов. Российская сторона заранее предупредила белорусскую, что в случае неурегулирования ситуации с оплатой 21 июня поставки могут быть ограничены. Белоруссия задолженность за газ не погасила, и "Газпром" в 10.00 мск понедельника начал ограничивать поставки газа.
