США не будут сотрудничать с президентом Сирии Башаром Асадом в борьбе с террористической организацией «Исламское государство». Об этом заявил президент США Барак Обама на пресс-конференции в ходе саммита G20 в австралийском Брисбене.
По словам американского президента, Асад «полностью утратил свою легитимность на большей части страны», а потому «любые совместные действия США с ним против ИГ повлекут за собой то, что еще больше сирийских суннитов повернутся в сторону боевиков и ослабят коалицию».
Ранее сообщалось, что США увеличат количество бомбардировок по боевикам ИГ в Сирии и Ираке.
