Глава МИД Германии Франк-Вальтер Штайнмайер заявил, что он не понимает, каким образом, эта мера поможет мирному сирийскому населению.
«Про санкции много говорят и пишут. Я отношусь к тем — и вы это знаете — кто серьезно обеспокоен ситуацией гуманитарного доступа к заблокированным в Алеппо и других городах людям. Мои усилия были направлены на то, чтобы после провала в Нью-Йорке обеспечить их возобновление», — сказал глава МИД.
Он пояснил, что в настоящее время не видит «как долгосрочные санкции могли бы привести к улучшению обеспечения гражданского населения».
Ранее глава дипломатии Евросоюза Федерика Могерини заявила, что никто из стран ЕС не предлагал ввести санкции против России из-за ситуации в Сирии.
