Кировский областной суд оставил в силе приговор Алексею Навальному и Петру Офицерову, осуждённым по делу о растрате 16 млн рублей компании «Кировлес». Это лишило основателя Фонда по борьбе с коррупцией возможности участвовать в президентской кампании 2018 года. Однако он намерен обратиться в ЕСПЧ и добиться допуска к выборам.
«Наша кампания планировалась в условиях неопределённости по делу «Кировлеса», запускалась в условиях этой неопределённости и ведётся безотносительно этого решения. Мы добиваемся допуска Алексея Навального к выборам, потому что он имеет право в них участвовать, как морально, так и юридически», — заявил Леонид Волков, руководитель предвыборного штаба Навального. То есть решение Кировского областного суда ничего в планах не изменило. Лишь добавило работы адвокатам. Как пообещал Вадим Кобзев, защищающий интересы Навального, после изучения постановления областного суда в Страсбургский суд по правам человека будет направлена жалоба. Решение Верховного суда РФ в данном случае даже не требуется — жалоба в ЕСПЧ является приоритетной.
