Первая подводная труба газопровода "Северный поток" (Nord Stream) была уложена на дно Балтийского моря во вторник. Об этом, как сообщает агентство "Интерфакс", глава "Газпрома" Алексей Миллер доложил президенту РФ Дмитрию Медведеву.
9 апреля в районе Выборга состоятся торжественные мероприятия по поводу начала строительства, в которых примут участие представители стран-участниц проекта и Европейской Комиссии. Ожидается и присутствие Медведева, сообщили агентству в "Газпроме".
Напомним, "Северный поток", строительство которого осуществляет Nord Stream AG, свяжет Россию и Европу по дну Балтийского моря. Строительство наземной части газопровода в России началось еще в 2008 году.
Первая очередь газопровода мощностью 27,5 миллиарда кубометров газа должна быть запущена в 2011 году, вторая — в 2012-м.
Длина газопровода составит 1224 километра, а предположительная стоимость оценивается почти в 9 миллиардов евро. В марте Nord Stream привлек кредит на 3,9 миллиарда евро на начало строительства газопровода, а в конце 2010 года планирует привлечь еще 2,5 миллиарда евро для финансирования второй очереди строительства.
Акционерами Nord Stream AG являются российский "Газпром" (51 процент акций), немецкие E.On и BASF, а также голландская Gasunie и французская GDF Suez.
