Структура Рыболовлева обязуется инвестировать в ФК минимум 100 миллионов евро в течение четырёх лет. Рыболовлев возглавит совет директоров клуба.
«Монако» по традиции играет во французских футбольных лигах. Клуб является семикратным чемпионом Франции. Однако в сезоне-2011/2012 «Монако» выступает во втором дивизионе французского чемпионата и сейчас занимает последнее место в турнирной таблице.
Дмитрий Рыболовлев принадлежит к кругу богатых людей России. Его бизнес-специализация – минеральные удобрения.
