Власти Австрии задержали в Вене украинского олигарха Дмитрия Фирташа, которого с 2006 года разыскивало Федеральное бюро расследований США в связи с обвинениями во взяточничестве и создании преступного сообщества. Об этом сообщает австрийское агентство APA. Олигарх был задержан в среду, однако известно об этом стало сегодня.
В компании Group DF, собственником которой является Фирташ, отметили, что действия правоохранительных органов касаются инвестиционного проекта 2006 года.
В частности, в пресс-службе компании заявили: «Нам известно, что действия правоохранительных органов Австрии в отношении Дмитрия Фирташа не связаны ни с ситуацией в Украине, ни с деятельностью Группы в Европе и Америке, а касаются инвестиционного проекта 2006 года».
В дальнейшем, по австрийскому законодательству, должно быть назначено слушание дела об экстрадиции.
