В России с 1 января 2016 года на 65% повышается утилизационный сбор на новые автомобили. Соответствующее постановление опубликовано на сайте кабинета министров.

При этом коэффициенты утилизационного сбора для транспортных средств, с даты выпуска которых прошло более трех лет, оставлены без изменений, «поскольку их значения находятся на достаточно высоком уровне и превышают коэффициенты на новые транспортные средства в среднем в 2,7 раза».
Кроме того, постановлением устанавливается, что крупнейшие российские автопроизводители могут уплачивать утилизационный сбор за III квартал в течение 90 календарных дней, следующих за ним. Это сделано для «снижения негативного влияния» экономического кризиса в России.
