С начала текущего года из-за финансовой несостоятельности в Соединенных Штатах были закрыты в общей сложности 22 банка. Об этом свидетельствуют официальные материалы Федерального агентства по страхованию вкладов (Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., FDIC), сообщает Лента.ру.
По данным FDIC, только 27 апреля прекратили деятельность сразу пять финансовых организаций. Речь идет о двух банках в Мэриленде – Bank of Eastern Shore и HarVest Bank of Maryland, а также Savings Bank в Миннесоте, Plantation Federal Bank в Южной Каролине и Palm Desert National Bank в Калифорнии.
На 31 декабря 2011 года совокупный объем вкладов в закрытых банках составлял $1,34 млрд, а активов – $1,42 млрд.
