«Немцы несут вину и ответственность не только за то, что из Германии исходило национал-социалистское расовое безумие, но и за то, что в конечном счете была развязана Вторая мировая война», — заявил он.
Штайнмайер пояснил, что именно поэтому он намерен 7 мая вместе с главой МИД России Сергеем Лавровым возложить венки на немецком и российском военных кладбищах.
Ранее МИД Германии подтвердил приезд Штайнмайера в Волгоград 7 мая.
