В одном из самых крупных следственных изоляторов России — петербургских «Крестах» появится молельная комната для мусульман. Соответствующее соглашение подписали представители духовенства, Федеральная служба исполнения наказаний и общественная палата города.
Речь идет не только о специальных помещениях для молитвы, но и распространении религиозной литературы, духовных беседах и юридической помощи. По случаю Нового года главный муфтий Петербурга посетил следственный изолятор и встретился с заключенными.
В «Крестах» содержится около 600 мусульман. Это меньше 5% от общего числа арестантов. Они живут в общих камерах. Разделения по вероисповеданию в изоляторе не предусмотрено.
