Сирийские демонстранты, протестующие против позиции России по урегулированию в Сирии, в воскресенье напали на посольство РФ в столице Ливии Триполи, сообщил РИА «Новости» очевидец событий. По его словам, несколько десятков человек проводили акцию протеста у здания посольства на следующий день после того как Россия совместно с Китаем заблокировала резолюцию по Сирии в СБ ООН. По сообщениям западной прессы, около 200 сирийцев и сторонников сирийской оппозиции ворвались на территорию дипмиссии и сорвали российский флаг, сообщает «Эхо Москвы».
Поводом для нападения послужило голосование в Совбезе ООН, где Москва вместе с Пекином наложила вето на проект резолюции по ситуации в Сирии. Сирийский национальный совет, объединяющий сирийскую оппозицию, призвал Москву и Пекин изменить свое решение. «СНС возлагает вину на правительства обеих стран ( Россия и Китай ) за эскалацию убийств и геноцида, и считает их безответственный шаг лицензией сирийскому режиму осуществлять безнаказанные убийства», — говорится в заявлении Сирийского национального совета, пишет BBCRussian.com.
