Председатель израильской федерации труда «Гистадрут» Офер Эйни направил правительству ультиматум, в котором угрожает через две недели всеобщей забастовкой, если не будут приняты меры по снижению цен на бензин, воду и хлеб.
Эйни пояснил, что всего месяц назад было подписано соглашение о повышении минимальной заработной платы, цель которого — поддержка малообеспеченных слоев населения. Но при этом цены на товары первой необходимости повысились в последнее время более чем на 50% и продолжают расти. Председатель «Гистадрута» отдал распоряжение специалистам из профактива составить программу борьбы с постоянным повышением цен, включающую объявление общенационального трудового конфликта.
