Ирина Прохорова возглавила партию «Гражданская платформа», сменив на этом посту своего брата Михаила Прохорова.
Сам Михаил Прохоров подчеркнул, что «не уходит из политики»: таким образом в партии реализуется решение о ежегодной ротации руководящих постов. Лидер «Гражданской платформы» считает, что полная ротация руководства партии позволит избежать ее превращения в «вождистскую партию».
Прохорова стала главой партии и руководителем ФГК в результате голосования. При этом Михаил Прохоров остается главой федерального политического комитета.
Ирина Прохорова является главным редактором журнала «Новое литературное обозрение» и руководителем одноименного издательского дома.
