Власти Санкт-Петербурга согласовали шествие по Невскому проспекту и митинг на Марсовом поле 1 мая, на который подавали заявку защитники Исаакиевского собора. Об этом в Твиттере сообщила депутат ЗакСа Петербурга Оксана Дмитриева.
Ранее Смольный отклонил эту заявку, предложив оппозиционным партиям митинговать 1 мая в Полюстровском парке, после чего депутаты написали письмо губернатору, настаивая, что в Петербурге всегда было «общей практикой», когда 1 мая по Невскому «ходили маршем различные движения».
Организатор акции — оргкомитет «Комитет в защиту Петербурга», куда входят депутаты Заксобрания Петербурга, политические партии: «Яблоко», «Партия Роста», ПАРНАС, движение «Открытая Россия», а также целый ряд общественных организаций работников культуры, образования и науки.
10 января губернатор Петербурга Георгий Полтавченко заявил о «решенном вопросе» о передаче Исаакиевского собора РПЦ. После этого на уличные акции за сохранение музея вышли тысячи горожан. В середине февраля в Кремле заявили, что Полтавченко не согласовывал с Кремлем передачу Исаакия. Однако, позже СМИ сообщили, что уже названа дата, когда музей должен освободить помещения Исаакия — 12 июня.
