Глава общественного движения «Новороссия» Игорь Гиркин (Стрелков) решил продать свою медаль за воссоединение Крыма с Россией. Об этом сообщает «Радио Свобода».
Лот выставлен на сайте нумизматической аукционной фирмы. Торги состоятся 13 апреля, начальная цена — 1 млн рублей. «Медаль является негосударственной наградой Благотворительного фонда святителя Василия Великого, вручалась лицам, внесшим наибольший личный вклад в возвращение Крыма в Россию. Представленный экземпляр медали был присужден И.И. Стрелкову», – утверждается в описании.
Сам Гиркин 9 марта в своем «ВКонтакте» подтвердил, что продает медаль. «Да, это моя медаль, негосударственная. Вручена мне Малофеевым еще весной 2014 года — до начала Донбасской кампании. Продаю, поскольку имеют место материальные проблемы, которые я не могу «залатать» имеющимися наличными средствами. Особого пиитета к данной награде никогда не имел», – написал он.
Он пояснил, что награда, во-первых, не является государственной, во-вторых, она не боевая. Кроме того он добавил, что не испытывает к ней пиетета, так как она не государственная, а изображённого на ней Путина он «откровенно презирает».
Напомним, Украина возлагает на Гиркина ответственность за многочисленные военные преступления в Донбассе. Сам он в одном из интервью утверждал, что он был тем, кто «нажал на спусковой крючок войны» на востоке Украины. В августе 2014 года Гиркин покинул Донбасс. По его словам, к этому его вынудили российские военные, выдвинув уход Гиркина в качестве условия своего участия в боях против украинских войск. Впоследствии он создал движение «Новороссия» и вошёл в состав «Комитета 25 января», которые позиционировались как «третья сила», противостоящая президенту Владимиру Путину, которого он обвинял в «предательстве» и либеральной российской оппозиции.
