Губернатор Санкт-Петербурга Валентина Матвиенко будет баллотироваться в муниципальные депутаты в муниципальном совете «Округ Петровское» и в муниципальном совете «Красненькая речка», сообщает Интерфакс.
«Я приняла решение зарегистрироваться в обоих муниципальных советах, — заявила губернатор: — Я была готова идти в любом муниципальном совете. На всех встречах с горожанами я слышала спасибо за город. Главным фактором при выборе был фактор времени».
Матвиенко должна пройти через процедуру муниципальных выборов, чтобы получить депутатский мандат и быть делегированной в Совет Федерации, где ее прочат на пост спикера.
Губернатор отметила, что информация о проведении выборов в этих муниципалитетах была в открытом доступе для всех. «О проведении этих выборов я лично читала в прессе», — сказала она. Матвиенко подчеркнула, что кандидатами на выборах в качестве ее соперников зарегистрированы и самовыдвиженцы, и представители других партий. По ее словам, предложения выдвигаться именно в эти муниципалитеты ей поступили от избирателей, проживающих на этих территориях, и от руководств самих муниципалитетов.
Губернатор добавила, что решение о своем выдвижении она согласовала с «Единой Россией». «И Политсовет «Единой России» принял решение для рекомендации выдвижения меня в эти муниципалитеты», — отметила Матвиенко.
Она сообщила, что выборы в обоих муниципалитетах состоятся 21 августа. Также губернатор сказала, что все юристы, к которым она обращалась, признали решение о проведении выборов в этих муниципалитетах законным.
