Следственный отдел департамента по обеспечению правопорядка на закрытых территориях и режимных объектах МВД РФ возбудил два уголовных дела в отношении владельцев нелегальных серверов популярной многопользовательской игры Lineage 2, сообщает "Коммерсант".
Уголовные дела возбуждены на основе материалов проверки изъятых у хостинговых компаний "Мастерхост" и "Агава" по статье 146 УКР РФ ("нарушение авторских и смежных прав"). По версии следствия, злоумышленники модифицировали исходный код игры и позволяли пользователям играть на условиях, отличных от правил официальных серверов Lineage 2.
Дела стали первыми в России случаями уголовного преследования в отношении владельцев пиратских серверов Lineage 2, утверждает "Коммерсант". Тот факт, что делом о нелегальных версиях Lineage 2 занялся департамент по обеспечению правопорядка на режимных объектах объясняется тем, что часть изъятых у хостинговых компаний серверов находились на территории Курчатовского института. Сведения о лицах, которых обвиняют в нарушении авторских прав, не разглашаются.
Об изъятии серверов у "Агавы" и "Мастерхоста" стало известно 3 марта. По уточненным данным, сотрудники правоохранительных органов забрали на экспертизу в общей сложности девять серверов. Сообщалось, что в числе подозреваемых в использовании нелегального программного обеспечения оказались серверы globalwar.ru и gracia1.ru.
