Президент Украины Петр Порошенко заявил о намерении провести в стране референдум о вступлении в НАТО. Об этом он сообщил в интервью немецкой газете Berliner Morgenpost.
«Четыре года назад лишь 16% [украинцев] поддерживали членство Украины [в НАТО]. Сейчас — 54%. Как президент, я руководствуюсь мнением своего народа и проведу референдум по вопросу вступления в НАТО. И если украинцы проголосуют «за», я сделаю все, чтобы добиться членства в Североатлантическом альянсе», — заявил Порошенко.
В сентябре прошлого года Порошенко также называл членство в НАТО стратегической целью Украины.
Ранее сообщалось, что НАТО отложило встречу с Киевом по ПРО из-за возможной реакции Москвы.
