В Казахстане назначены досрочные выборы президента страны. Об этом объявил глава Казахстана Касым-Жомарт Токаев. «Принял решение о проведении внеочередных выборов 9 июня», — сказал Токаев. Внеочередные выборы президента Казахстана состоятся 9 июня 2019 года. Как ожидается, во вторник, 9 апреля, Токаев обратится к гражданам страны в эфире местных телеканалов.
«Я советовался по этому поводу с Елбасы Нурсултаном Абишевичем Назарбаевым, со спикерами обеих палат парламента, премьер-министром страны, согласовал свое решение с Конституционным советом, встречался с лидерами парламентских партий», — сказал президент в телеэфире республиканских каналов.
Согласно конституции Казахстана, досрочные президентские выборы назначаются решением президента республики и проводятся в течение двух месяцев со дня их объявления.
Главным кандидатом на предстоящих выборах казахстанские политологи считают самого Токаева. Компартия Казахстана уже заявила о намерении выдвинуть своего кандидата. Также в выборах, возможно. примут участие кандидаты от какой-либо из шести зарегистрированных в республике партий. На сегодняшний момент в стране их шесть: партия власти «Нур Отан», народно-демократическая (патриотическая) партия «Ауыл», демократическая партия Казахстана «Ак жол», политическая партия «Бiрлiк» (Единство), Коммунистическая народная партия Казахстана и Общенациональная социал-демократическая партия.
