Октябрь для императора

Эти сентябрьско-октябрьские недели отмечены двумя юбилеями. 25 лет назад в России был подавлен мятеж контрреформы. 40 лет назад на экранах Японии появился фильм «Август без императора». Степень исторической значимости, естественно, несопоставима. Но режиссёр-коммунист Сацуо Ямамото поразительным образом описал события, происшедшие через полтора десятилетия не в его стране, а в нашей. Бюрократия жестоко подавляет тоталитарный путч. Чтобы спокойно и уныло вести к тому же.

Сюжет киноленты таков. Япония 1970-х. Группа фанатиков-милитаристов недовольна коррупцией, падением морали, демократической вакханалией и западной бездуховностью. Иной бы создал Фонд борьбы с коррупцией, но не японские же спецназовцы. Они решают возродить «подлинно народное государство во главе с императором», идти единым строем «по белой дороге, прямой как струна». То есть вернуть Японию лет на тридцать пять назад.

Сразу заметим, что российские аналоги героев фильма – Руслан Хасбулатов, Александр Руцкой, Юрий Воронин, Виктор Баранников, Владислав Ачалов, Александр Баркашов, Виктор Анпилов – так далеко не замахивались. Они были не прочь подкорректировать календарь всего лишь лет на десять. Где-то к андроповским временам. И то с серьёзными модификациями. Многие из них отнюдь не возражали против своей частной собственности.

Идеология путчистов из фильма проста и сурова. Куда суровее, чем в московском «Белом доме». Дисциплина и порядок, духовность и нравственность. То есть – если конкретно – тоталитарный милитаризм, культ императора, неистовый антикоммунизм. Последнее, кстати, создаёт единственное принципиальное отличие японского кино 1978-го от российской жизни 1993-го. В делах и идеях персонажей Ямамото явственно ощущается дуновение ВАКЛ. «Действовать! Иначе Японию сожрёт коммунизм!» – восклицает главарь заговора экс-премьер Кодзо Охата. Характерен его бэкграунд. «В тюрьме, куда меня упрятали как военного преступника…» – вспоминает Охата свою молодость конца 1940-х.

«Кодзо Охата должен стоять у власти!» – таково единственное политическое требование командира путчистов капитана Фудзисаки. Иначе говоря: полный назад, к временам милитаристской империи. Здесь налицо полное совпадение с советской ностальгией «белодомовцев». Хотя в плане фанатичной решимости японские путчисты дают российским сто очков вперёд. «Мы не отступимся от наших идеалов!» – говорит капитан Комори, верный самурай в затемнённых очках, тенью следующий за своим даймё Фудзисаки.

Можно представить, какую судьбу готовят они японцам. Пожалуй, пожёстче, чем предстояло бы России под властью тогдашнего Верховного Совета. «Я разнесу твой мир как мусор пулемётной очередью», – бросает Фудзисаки в лицо своему антиподу, леволибералу Исимори. И тут же убивает заложника, доказывая, что сказанное – не пустые слова.

А кто противостоит путчистам? Либералы, демократы, сторонники свободы? Наверное, они тоже. Но в фильме их не показывают. Кроме Исимори, случайно оказавшегося в захваченном путчистами поезде. В решающую ночь свободу и демократию защищают другие силы. И другие люди. Премьер-министр Сабаяси, беспринципный политикан по прозвищу Двуличный. Молодой карьерист Тосикура, начальник премьерской спецслужбы. Пожилой служака Эми, офицер военизированной полиции.

Никаких идей у них нет и близко. Есть власть, которую надо удержать. Есть некоторые правовые условности, которые надо соблюдать. Сабаяси может мило побеседовать с Охатой, после чего отдать приказ о его аресте и уничтожении его соратников. Деловой Тосикура откровенно презирает идейных фанатиков – за тупость и непонимание жизни. Сам-то он жизнь знает: к премьеру приходит в костюме с галстуком, в пыточную камеру надевает спортивную жилетку и бейсболку.

Дисциплинированный Эми начинал карьеру в те самые времена, которые стремятся вернуть путчисты. Тогда к нему на допросы попадали демократы. Теперь приходится раскалывать нелояльных милитаристов. Один из них, уже попав в камеру пыток, злобно процеживает: «Представляю, скольких ты забил до войны». Эми взглядом подтверждает: да, многих. И забивает ещё одного – этого допрашиваемого. Чтоб не смел бунтовать против законного демократического правительства. Ибо он служит родине, а «родиной» чиновники называют начальство. Тосикура одобряет результат. Прочее для Эми неважно.

Вернёмся в октябрь 1993-го. Президент-демократ Борис Ельцин, опытный номенклатурный босс, понимал: нужна поддержка силовиков. Армии, милиции, госбезопасности. Опять-таки, как в фильме: «Всё решит то, чью сторону они примут».

Министр обороны Павел Грачёв 19 августа 1991 года выполнял приказ ГКЧП. 20 августа он уже был на стороне демократии. И в 1993-м коней на переправе не менял. Именно армия определила исход противостояния. Болванками по «Белому дому».

Войсками в Москве командовал в октябрьские дни генерал-полковник Валерий Евневич — некогда офицер Афганской войны, потом командир Таманской дивизии. С душманами воевал во имя коммунизма. Красно-коричневых громил во имя демократии и законности. Приказ есть приказ.

Милиция тоже проявила лояльность Борису Николаевичу. Оно и неудивительно: МВД возглавлял генерал-полковник Виктор Ерин. Он-то, впрочем, какую-то идеологию, похоже, имел. Партбилет КПСС он положил на стол ещё в мае 1991-го, будучи начальником криминальной милиции РСФСР. То есть, до Августа. То ли идеальное политическое чутьё, то ли Ерина и правда вдруг потянуло к свободе и плюрализму. Так или иначе, Ельцин с ним не прогадал. Российская милиция, ведомая легендарным опером, показала себя во всей красе. Не зря Верховный Совет ещё в июне 1993-го требовал отставки Ерина. В подавлении путча Виктор Фёдорович был одной из ключевых фигур.

Продемонстрировал бойцовские качества и заместитель Ерина генерал-лейтенант Анатолий Куликов. Применение спецназа «Витязь» — его идея. Руководил «Витязем» подполковник Сергей Лысюк. На излёте СССР он боролся с беспорядками на Кавказе. В начале РФ обезвреживал врагов демократии. С заданием вполне справился.

А как чекисты? Здесь тоже всё на мази. Обязанности министра безопасности исполнял генерал-полковник Николай Голушко. Службу в КГБ он начал ещё в 1960-е. Пресекал идеологические диверсии, почти десять лет боролся с национализмом и даже побывал во главе КГБ Украинской ССР. Распад Советского Союза застал его в должности начальника секретариата КГБ СССР, после чего карьера резко рванула вверх. За два месяца до начала московского противостояния Ельцин назначил Голушко на месте отстранённого Виктора Баранникова. И опять не ошибся.

Тем более не ошибался Борис Николаевич в начальнике президентской Службы безопасности. Функционально генерал-лейтенант Александр Коржаков был буквальным аналогом Тосикуры. И справился с ситуацией не хуже.

Чиновная элита в основном поддержала Ельцина. В том числе в силовой части. Пример защиты демократии показал тогда председатель Госкомитета по чрезвычайным ситуациям Сергей Шойгу. Он даже пообещал Егору Гайдару оружие со складов своего ведомства. Этот эпизод давно не афишируется. Хотя он очень показателен. Бывший второй секретарь Абаканского горкома КПСС солидаризировался с бывшим первым секретарём Свердловского обкома и Московского горкома. Это ли не суть событий? Особенно если знать, каким стал впоследствии Ельцин и кем стал впоследствии Шойгу.

«О человеке не судят по цифрам», – говорит Эми в «Августе без императора». Октябрь 1993-го показал, сколь мало значат формальные биографии в критические часы. В «Белом доме» встречались не только коммуно-фашисты, но и демократы, и антикоммунисты, и классические социал-демократы. На стороне Ельцина оказались не только антисоветчики, но и бюрократы, защищавшие свои кресла и ксивы.

Что побудило их выбрать президента, пришедшего к власти на популистской «демроссийской» волне? Во-первых, социальная близость. Многолетний секретарь обкома понятен чиновнику, и дело не в цвете флагов. Во-вторых, люди по ту сторону от баррикад хоть и исповедовали мракобесные взгляды, но форма их выражения была бунтарской, рискованной. И это никак не устраивало идеологов и практиков чиновной идиллии, покоя и благолепия.

И наконец, подавление мятежа не означало поражения доктрины. Прошла пара десятилетий, и выжившие «белодомовцы» увидели реализацию своих идей. Пусть и не очень последовательную. Имперство и чекизм, духовные скрепы и совностальгия – всё это расцвело усилиями безликой номенклатуры, «спасшей демократию» в октябре 1993-го. Спасение, кстати, не ограничивалось Москвой. Хотя уличные бои случились только в Первопрестольной, контролировать ситуацию приходилось везде. В Северной столице этим занимались чиновники и силовики Анатолия Собчака. Среди первых был, например, Владимир Путин. Среди вторых – например, Виктор Золотов.

Фильм «Август без императора» кончается пронзительной драмой. Бюрократия быстро и жёстко расправляется с мятежом ультраправых. Главаря Охату устраняют отравлением. («Что будет с Японией?!» – вскрикивает он, умирая.) Его сторонники повсеместно нейтрализованы. Сопротивление подавляется огнём. Поезд, захваченный Фудзисаки, намертво блокирован. Но самураи есть самураи, ВАКЛ есть ВАКЛ. «Знай – свернуть и сдаться невозможно, мы тебе останемся верны!»

Правительственный спецназ штурмует вагоны, мятежники яростно отстреливаются. (Разительный контраст с дисциплинированной сдачей почти всех главарей «Белого дома».) Погибает под перекрёстным огнём интеллигент Исимори – единственный положительный герой фильма. Пускает себе пулю в висок несгибаемо верный Комори. Смертельно раненый Фудзисаки в обнимку с женой падает на пол вагона, но успевает нажать красную кнопку взрывной «дистанционки»…

Назавтра двуличный Сабаяси благодарит секьюрити Тосикуру: проблема блестяще снята, гарантирована победа на выборах. Между делом звучит: «С прессой всё будет в порядке? — Да, отдыхайте спокойно, господин премьер». Как тут не вспомнить, с чего начинал Путин и в какое положение приведены СМИ современной РФ. Режиссёр Ямамото задумал фильм как предупреждение японцам. В России оно воплотись в реальность.

История трагедийна. Лёгких путей не бывает. Выбор 1993-го стоял между путинизмом сразу и путинизмом потом. Победи «Белый дом», и мы вряд ли дожили бы до тюремных сроков за Интернет. Скорей всего, Сеть просто закрыли бы как в КНДР. Или, по крайней мере, огородили бы «великой стеной» как в КНР. К чему нас и подвигают теперь. Победа же Ельцина дала России ещё десяток лет несовершенной, но демократии.

Эта демократия защитилась от вооружённого мятежа, но оказалась бессильна перед политтехнологиями крадущейся номенклатуры. Этот урок надо усвоить. Грядущий Октябрь не должен стать преддверием воцарения очередного императора.
