Акционеры «МиГа» также прекратили полномочия бывшего гендиректора компании Михаила Погосяна в связи с его избранием в феврале 2011 года президентом Объединенной авиастроительной корпорации (ОАК).
Таким образом, за Погосяном сохраняются должности гендиректора холдинга «Сухой» и президента ОАК.
Осенью 2009 года 100 процентов акций «МиГа» приобрела ОАК, которой напрямую или через дочерние структуры принадлежат доли более чем в 20 компаниях авиационной отрасли. В частности, ОАК контролирует холдинг «Сухой», корпорацию «Иркут» и ОАО «Туполев».
