Мэра Карачаевска Солтан Семенов сегодня задержан правоохранительными органами, сообщает пресс-служба Следственного комитета РФ по КЧР. Он подозревается в нецелевом расходовании бюджетных средств в особо крупном размере — 19,5 миллионов рублей.
По версии следствия, эти деньги в прошлом году были перечислены в администрацию Карачаевского городского округа из регионального бюджета в дорожный фонд, но израсходованы на другие нужды. Против Семенова возбуждено уголовное дело по этому факту на основании пункта «б» части 2 статьи 285,1 УК России.
Ранее Солтан Семенов был объявлен в федеральный розыск. 9 августа 2013 он сам явился на допрос, но отказался давать показания, сославшись на статью 51 Конституции России.
