В Ереване из захваченного вооруженными людьми отделения полиции освобождены два заложника, сообщает ВВС.
В отделении остаются еще четверо захваченных в плен полицейских.
Как сообщил журналистам один из захватчиков, одного заложника отпустили по указанию лидера оппозиционной организации «Новая Армения» Жирайра Сефиляна, освобождение которого было одним из требований захватчиков. По его словам, был отпущен полицейский, у которого были проблемы со здоровьем.
Ранее Служба национальной безопасности Армении сообщила, что в ходе переговоров удалось добиться освобождения еще одного человека — водителя скорой помощи, также попавшего в плен к захватчикам здания.
При этом, как заявили в СНБ, преступники отказываются освободить остальных заложников, в числе которых высокопоставленне полицейские, сложить оружие и сдаться властям.
Сейчас в заложниках остаются четыре человека. Среди них заместитель начальника полиции Армении Вардан Егиазарян и замглавы ереванской полиции Валерий Осипян, сообщают местные СМИ.
В воскресенье утром группа вооруженных людей проникла на территорию патрульно-постового полка полиции Армении в районе Эребуни на окраине Еревана и захватила в заложники находящихся там полицейских. По данным полиции, во время захвата здания один полицейский погиб, четверо получили ранения.
Захватчики потребовали освободить находящегося под арестом оппозиционного активиста Жирайра Сефиляна и других политических заключенных.
