Сумма сделки составит около $1 миллиарда. Общие запасы месторождений, на которых может вести добычу «Технефтьинвест», оцениваются в 180 млн т нефти и 19,3 млрд кубометров газа.
После финансового кризиса 2008 года кредиторская задолженность компании «Технефтьинвест» банку ВТБ составила 44,8 млрд рублей. С ноября 2012 года компания находится в стадии ликвидации.
