Международное рейтинговое агентство Fitch может снизить кредитные рейтинги крупнейших кипрских банков, сообщает Bloomberg . Это связано с объявленным ранее намерением кипрских властей ввести в стране налог на открытые в местных банках депозиты.
На пересмотр с возможным понижением поставлены рейтинги банков Bank of Cyprus, Cyprus Popular Bank и Hellenic Bank, находящиеся сейчас по версии Fitch на уровне «В» с рейтингом устойчивости «С» и «СС» соответственно.
В агентстве считают, что значительные потери вкладчиков банков могут, представлять собой ограниченный дефолт. В этом случае рейтинги дефолта эмитента кредитных организаций будут понижены до уровня «RD», а рейтинги потенциальной поддержки государством кипрских банков — до «5» и «No Floor».
