Сбербанк России ведёт переговоры о предоставлении Киеву первого трёхлетнего кредита на проектирование и подготовку площадки для строительства двух атомных энергоблоков, информирует агентство Reuters. Объём первого кредита составляет около миллиарда долларов, общая серия достигнет примерно 4 миллиардов.
Весной 2010 года премьер-министр РФ Владимир Путин заявил, что Россия готова предоставить Украине кредит в 5-6 миллиардов долларов для достройки энергоблоков украинских АЭС. Летом глава российской госкорпорации Росатом Сергей Кириенко сказал, что соглашение о сотрудничестве в этом проекте подписано. Согласно планам Минэнерго и украинского госхолдинга Энергоатом, строительство двух реакторов должно завершиться до конца 2016 года.
