Активисты организации Greenpeace во вторник заблокировали зафрахтованную «Газпромом» буровую платформуSaturn в голландском порту Ижмуйден. Цель блокировки — не дать платформе отправиться для бурения в Арктику, сообщается на сайте «Гринпис России».
В сообщении организации говорится, что водолазы сковали цепями опоры платформы, лишив ее возможности передвигаться. Также они развернули на ней баннер с призывом «Спасите Арктику» (Save the Arctic).
В течение дня Saturn планировалось отбуксировать в порт Роттердама, чтобы оттуда транспортировать к месту бурения — месторождению «Долгинское», которое «Газпром» разрабатывает в Печорском море.
Экологи опасаются, что платформа Saturn не сможет безопасно работать в экстремальных условиях Арктики. «Однажды неадекватный выбор “Газпромом” подрядчика для бурения на шельфе уже привел к катастрофе — крушению буровой “Кольская” в 2011 году», — приводят экологи слова руководителя энергетической программы «Гринпис России» Владимира Чупрова.
