Оружие, принадлежавшее известным американским преступникам Бонни Паркер и Клайду Бэрроу, продали с аукциона в Канзас-Сити, организованного Mayo Auction & Realty, в общей сложности за 210 тысяч долларов. Об этом сообщает Лента.ру со ссылкой на Reuters.
Выставленные на торги пистолет-пулемет Томпсона и дробовик Winchester приобретены одним и тем же покупателем, пожелавшим остаться неизвестным. Новый обладатель оружия, участвовавший в торгах через интернет, заплатил за пистолет-пулемет $130 тысяч, а за дробовик – $80 тысяч. Отмечается, что? прежде чем вступить во владение покупками, их обладателю необходимо будет получить разрешение на хранение огнестрельного оружия.
Проданное на аукционе оружие было изъято в апреле 1933 года во время облавы на дом в городке Джоплин в штате Миссури, где Бонни и Клайд скрывались от полиции. В перестрелке было убито двое полицейских, после чего разыскиваемые скрылись, оставив пистолет-пулемет и дробовик на месте инцидента. Впоследствии оружие оказалось у одного из сотрудников полиции, а в 1973 году его семья передала его в музей.
Бонни Паркер и Клайд Бэрроу были организаторами группировки, совершавшей налеты на банки и бензоколонки в центральных штатах США во времена Великой депрессии. Преступники были убиты в перестрелке с агентами ФБР в 1934 году. Их образ часто используется в массовой культуре – про Бонни и Клайда написанs ряд песен, а также снято несколько художественных фильмов.
