О мотивах преступления злоумышленники не сообщили. Стоит отметить, что членов этой банды националистов подозревают в 11 убийствах и 8 избиениях на почве национальной неприязни.
Напомним, что памятник Ленину был взорван накануне вечером. Постамент получил незначительные повреждения. Фигура Ленина накренилась, но не упала.
