Минобороны РФ безвозмездно передаст Белоруссии четыре системы противовоздушной обороны С-300. Об этом замдиректора Федеральной службы по военно-техническому сотрудничеству (ФСВТС) Константин Бирюлин рассказал в интервью агентству ИТАР-ТАСС.
«На С-300 контракт со стороны нашего министерства обороны подписан, и сейчас он у белорусов. Все, что пообещал Сергей Кожугетович (Шойгу), все в полном объеме в контракте прописано — все решения, которые он принял и все сроки, которые он определил», — заявил Бирюлин в ходе военной выставки MILEX 2014.
Ранее министр обороны РФ Сергей Шойгу объяснял передачу четырех дивизионов противовоздушной обороны С-300 Белоруссии необходимостью создания региональной системы ПВО для защиты единого воздушного пространства и границы союзного государства. Кроме того, глава российского военного ведомства отмечал, что в 2015 году на территории республики Беларусь будет создана военная авиабаза РФ с истребителями.
