По сведениям телеканала «К+», в Жанаозене находятся внутренние войска. Очевидцы рассказывают о летающих над городом вертолетах и о том, что в городе закрылись магазины.
Нурсултан Назарбаев, по сведениям «К+», создал комиссию по расследованию событий в Жанаозене. По факту массовых беспорядков возбуждены уголовные дела.
Также появлялась информация о том, что счет погибших и пострадавших в Жанаозене уже идет на десятки. Однако официальные лица до выступления Асхата Даулбаева сообщения о жертвах опровергали.
