Смартфон YotaPhone, анонсированный в декабре российской компанией Yota Devices, будет производиться в Сингапуре, сообщает Lenta.ru.
Выпуск аппаратов поручат сингапурской компании Hi-P. Yota Devices уже имеет опыт сотрудничества с ней: сингапурцы делают для россиян роутеры и модемы, уточняет CNET News. Помимо этого Hi-P работала с Apple и BlackBerry и выпускала читалки для Amazon.
Yota Devices откроет в Сингапуре офис продаж, который будет обслуживать клиентов из Азии, а также центр исследований и разработки. У компании уже имеются команды разработчиков в России, в Финляндии и в США. Штаб-квартира Yota Devices (компания в 2011 году выделилась из оператора Yota) находится в Москве.
Hi-P – не единственная иностранная компания, сотрудничающая с Yota Devices. Цветные экраны для смартфона YotaPhone будет выпускать японское объединение Japan Display, черно-белые экраны – тайваньская E-Ink, а процессоры поставит компания Qualcomm.
