Завершён подсчёт голосов на парламентских выборах в Финляндии. Наибольшую поддержку получила правоконсервативная Национальная коалиционная партия (НКП) — за неё проголосовали 20,4 процента. Это первая победа консерваторов в политической истории Финляндии.
Второе место заняли социал-демократы с 19,1 процента. Лишь на 0,1 процента отстала от них национал-популистская партия «Истинные финны». Именно последних считают главными победителями выборов: их подъём оказался особенно впечатляюшим.
Правящая либеральная партия Финляндский центр во главе с премьер-министром Мари Кивиниеми потерпела серьёзное поражение, набрав лишь 15,8 процента.
