Снятие ограничений коснулось транспорта, телекоммуникаций, интернет-сервисов и денежных переводов.
«Это подчеркивает намерение администрации продвигать конструктивные изменения для кубинского народа. Эти изменения в регулировании основываются на предыдущих пересмотрах, реализованных в этом году, и еще больше облегчат санкции, имеющие отношение к путешествиям, телекоммуникациям и интернет-сервисам, бизнесу на Кубе и денежным переводам», — отметил глава американского минфина Джек Лью.
Ранее США и Куба объявили о восстановлении дипломатических отношений, которые могут привести к снятию 50-летнего эмбарго против Кубы. Накануне сообщалось, что на Кубе прошло официальное открытие американского посольства.
