Президент США Дональд Трамп намерен сократить выделения международной помощи. Об этом сообщил директор административно-бюджетного управления Белого дома Мик Малвейни, передает РИА «Новости».
«Президент заявил, что будет тратить меньше средств за рубежом и больше средств у нас в стране. Так что когда мы реализуем эту политику, такие вещи, как иностранная помощь, будут сокращены», — сказал Малвейни в ходе презентации «черновика» бюджета США на 2017 год.
Также Малвейни заявил журналистам, что они «увидят весьма резкое сокращение по Госдепартаменту». Он объяснил эти сокращения тем, что в эту статью «зашита международная помощь».
Кроме того, Малвейни сообщил, что администрация США запросит дополнительно $30 млрд на оборону и защиту границ.
