Президент РФ Владимир Путин в среду поручил Минобороны провести внезапную комплексную проверку боеготовности Западного и Центрального военных округов, а также ряда родов войск. Об этом сообщил на совещании министр обороны Сергей Шойгу.
В среду днем по тревоге были подняты войска Западного и Центрального военных округов. В дальнейшем к проверке будут привлечены также самолеты военно-транспортной и дальней авиации и воздушно-десантные войска. По словам министра обороны, военнослужащие должны «быть готовы к осуществлению бомбометания на незнакомых полигонах».
Проверка продлится до 3 марта.
