ЦРУ не обнаружила причастности Саудовской Аравии к терактам 11 сентября 2001 года. Об этом заявил глава Центрального разведывательного управления США Джон Бреннан в интервью телеканалу Al Arabiya.
«После терактов 11 сентября комиссия очень тщательно изучила эти обвинения относительно причастности Саудовской Аравии. Они (комиссия) пришли к выводу об отсутствии доказательств, указывающих на то, что правительство Саудовской Аравии, как институт, и саудовские высокопоставленные должностные лица лично поддерживали теракты 11 сентября», — отметил Бреннан.
Он также выразил мнение, что засекреченная часть отчета конгресса о терактах 2001 года должна быть опубликована, пишет Reuters.
«Потому что тогда все убедятся в том, что Саудовская Аравия не имела к этому никакого отношения», — сказал глава ЦРУ.
Бреннан подчеркнул, что за прошедшие 15 лет Саудовская Аравия «стала одним из лучших партнеров США в области борьбы с терроризмом».
