В Бухаресте на антиправительственную акцию протеста собрались не менее 50 тыс. человек, скандируя «мы хотим работать, а не охранять вас». Акции протеста прошли и в других городах.
Ранее правительство Румынии отменило указ о внесении поправок в Уголовный кодекс и об амнистии, который привел к массовым протестам по всей стране. Поправки могли привести к освобождению из исправительных учреждений осужденных по коррупционным делам сторонников правящей партии.
Несмотря на отмену указов, антиправительственные митинги в последнее время проходят по всей Румынии.
