Американская авиакомпания American Airlines готова увеличить объем инвестиций в убыточного японского перевозчика Japan Airlines (JAL) до 1,4 млрд долл. Как сообщает Associated Press со ссылкой на источники в American Airlines, новое предложение от американской компании поступило JAL сегодня. Официально эту информацию ни одна из компаний пока не комментирует.
Напомним, конкурентами в борьбе за погрязшую в долгах Japan Airlines выступают ведущие американские авиакомпании — American Airlines («дочка» корпорации AMR) и Delta Air Lines.
Ранее American Airlines, ее партнеры по Oneworld и инвестиционный фонд TPG предлагали инвестировать в JAL 1,1 млрд долл., чтобы удержать японского перевозчика от перехода в ряды конкурирующего альянса SkyTeam. Delta Air Lines заманивает Japan Airlines обещанием предоставить пакет финансовой помощи объемом 1 млрд долл., включая 500 млн долл. инвестиций в акционерный капитал JAL.
