Как сообщает Интерфакс, в США запущен дизайнерский конкурс Dollar ReDe$ign Project, участники которого предлагают различные варианты обновления внешнего вида американской валюты.
По предварительным итогам конкурса, наибольшее количество голосов набрал проект британско-американской дизайн-студии Dowling Duncan, предложившей поместить на однодолларовую банкноту изображение Барака Обамы.
Авторы проекта считают, что портрет Вашингтона "подзадержался" на банкнте и обосновывают свой выбор тем, что Барак Обама — первый президент-афроамериканец.
Конкурс будет продолжаться до 30 сентября.
