Не сообщается, о какой концентрации яда идет речь и какой именно вред человеческому организму могло принести употребление креветок, но ученые говорят о том, что вредные вещества могли бы накапливаться в печени, вызывая хроническое загрязнение организма.
Россельхознадзор также ограничил экспорт рыбной продукции с эстонского предприятия AS Smakus — в партии лосося были обнаружены опасные микроорганизмы.
Ранее были запрещены поставки продуктов в Россию и другие страны Таможенного союза норвежского завода M-480 Hofseth AS. Были также приостановлены поставки рыбы с предприятия N-855 Mainstream Norway AS avd. Slakteri Skutvik, в продукции которого обнаружились листерии. Также введены временные ограничения на ввоз в Россию мяса мидий одного из чилийских предприятий, так как в нем нашли кишечную палочку.
