Райкконен, в нынешнем сезоне сменивший "Ф-1" на раллийную серию WRC, вновь готовится сесть за руль болида. 30-летний чемпион мира-2007 сам вышел на контакт с руководством французской команды. Петров в 2010 году стал первым российским гонщиком в «Королевских гонках».
"Да, мы рассматриваем кандидатуру Райкконена на следующий год, он сам вышел на контакт с нами", — заявил Autosport начальник Renault Эрик Буйе.
